Title- Poem-  Man on wire

Black Film/ Film Appreciation

I am the wire WALKER
Not the fast TALKER

One who will sneak to a ROOF
To find PROOF

Which way to GO
I am a PRO

The twin towers I had a dream to WIRE WALK
My eyes have seen the glory lets TALK

I don't float like a BUTTERFLY
I  don't want

to fall and DIE

Don't try this at home when you are all ALONE
Or on the THRONE

Wire walking takes patience and SKILL
It's a THRILL

Remember walking the wire of life is a TIGHT WALK!

Oh say can I see those dead Presidents glazing at Me
Dawns early light I See
Proudly I hail to Be

At twight light wanting dead Presidents in my Hand
That's my Plan

To steal dead Presidents
Oh yes we can get those Prints

We made an attempt to steal those Bills
But the rockets burst bombs the crew got Killed

My country tears of thee sweet land of Liberty
Hand cuffed Me
Land where my people Died
In the hands of the slave masters Pride

From every side of the motherland Nelson Mandela Stand!!!!
'Let freedom ring from every mountain top, "free at last''

Free at last, thank God Almighty I am free at last new life Began!!!!!

Poem Sweet Back –Written By – Iris Ellerbe

Oh Sweet Back running for his life

Sweet Back had to pay price

The white man is looking for him

Sweet Back ran across the country his chances look slim

The police asked us which way did he go

We told the crackers we don’t know

The Black Panthers said they want catch sweet back

He killed two with one whack

Morning, noon, and evening came

Sweet Back was still in the game

Thirty men’s kept hunting him down

Sweet back still couldn’t be found

He ran and hit the woman on the way to freedom door

The females mourned and pleaded for more

Police wandered where can that nigger can be

We looked all in the woods and trees

Sweet Back, Sweet Back, run!

Their coming with weapons and gun

The blood hounds picked up his scent

They still didn’t find where he went

Sweet Back ran across rivers, bridges, and deserts, swamps

Sweet Back struggled to survive.

Sweet Back endured he kept himself  alive

Sweet Back portrayed the Black man being discriminated

The big payback will come later

Run Sweet Back! Run!

The Struggle Continues!!!!

                        When We Were Kings:

Muhammad Ali is the main character in this very black film.

This film takes place in Zaire Africa. A fight between the heavy weigh

champion of the world George Foreman. Ali claimed victory in the very

beginning of the fight to win. Spike Lee one of the narrators describes

Ali as a hero. The message in this film is you don't have to be a champion

                         to win the fight.

Spike Lee one of the narrators who helped produce clearly the great

drama  Ali was able to perform. Ali also master minded a great plan to

out score his opponent. Ali did this by talking to George Foreman teasing

him making him fell like a loser. Ali took hard pinches from Foreman to

make him feel like he had won the fight.

Muhammad Ali other friends and narrators enjoyed  his personality

of  excitement and confidence, as he portrayed himself as a hero. The music

in this black film was from the 70's "The Black power Movement".

The youth in Zaire Africa  admired Muhammad Ali.  Ali told them to

eat healthy don't use drugs, and help each other.

Muhammad Ali became the greatest fighter in the world. He said

if you believe in yourself any man can win!

                        Sting like the Bee

Jump in the ring then you will See

When I hit you upside your Head

You will see stars around your Bed

George Foreman go hit with a right in Zaire

Only thing he had left was a Prayer

You see I float like the Butterfly

                        Sting like the Bee
